A joint symposium by IBEID & Pasteur 2030 Priority Axis 1 « Infectious Disease Threats » of the Pasteur 2030 Strategic Plan
June 8, 2026 – Amphithéâtre Duclaux – Institut Pasteur
For this 2026 edition of the annual Labex Day, we decided to create a joint symposium focusing on AMR, in partnership with Priority 1 of the Pasteur 2030 Strategic Plan.
Held on June 8th at Institut Pasteur, under the title « From AMR to Emerging Threats: Understanding Pathogens for Effective Control« , this one-day event will bring together scientists, clinicians, and public health experts to explore the current challenges posed by antimicrobial resistance through a transdisciplinary One Health lens. From the surveillance and identification of resistant pathogenic strains in humans and animals, including the pivotal work carried out by National Reference Centers (CNRs), to the deciphering of infectious mechanisms and the development of innovative therapeutic and clinical strategies to combat antibiotic resistance, the symposium will offer a comprehensive overview of the field.
This year, we will have the honor of welcoming Professor Jean-Yves Madec and Professor Katharina Schaufler for two keynote lectures.

Young scientists will be particularly celebrated through a session featuring presentations by the latest Pasteur-Roux Cantarini fellows working on these topics.
This event is open to the whole scientific community. Registration is free but mandatory.
